  1. Review information on the FE exam and sign up to take the FE exam. Information on the FE exam is here. Review all of this information, even if you are not planning on taking the FE exam. If you are taking the exam, note the deadline for receipt of the application.

    .
  3. Work through the practice problems. The online practice problems are here. Note the due dates for each section. Partial credit will be awarded for late homework, as indicated. It is suggested that the practice problems be worked only using the FE reference manual, so that you get used to the manual. General instructions for working the online practice problems are here. Unless noted, answers need to be within 1% of the correct answer for credit, so enter three significant figures for your answers.

  4. Take the final exam. The final exam will be 2 hours long. The final exam will be an online final exam. Various times to take the final exam will be available about one week before the actual FE exam. The exam will be in FE format, with 60 multiple choice questions, in relative proportion to the number of questions on the actual morning portion of the FE exam. You will need to supply your own reference manual. There can be no significant markings in the reference manual, and they may be collected for checking. Any calculator will be allowed for the EF 402 exam. Sign up for the Final Exam here.
